Country singer-songwriter Ray Stevens, best known for his satirical songs, has racked up almost 1.9 million YouTube views with his "Come To The USA" video in little more than two weeks. The controversial musician's latest song is a comment on Arizona's immigration law - he's in favor of it - and is now one of the most searched terms on Google. more!

If there’s an upside to the polarized debate over illegal immigration in the United States, it’s that it has put Ray Stevens back in the limelight. When we last heard from Mr. Stevens, the novelty country-music star who gave us “Ahab the Arab” and “The Streak,” it was probably via a Dr. Demento album we were loaned by a friend at summer camp or a stray reference to him on “The Simpsons.” (Admittedly, we missed his 2002 hit, “Osama Yo’ Mama.”)

Needless to say, Mr. Stevens isn’t singing about fleet-footed exhibitionists anymore, as we learned from The Onion A.V. Club.

Ray Stevens might easily be dubbed the “Energizer Bunny’ of the music business…he just keeps going and going and going. For the second time in just six months, a single from the album We the People has logged over one million YouTube views in less than 10 days. “Come to the USA,” a satirical look at illegal immigration in America, was written by Ray Stevens Music writers, Matt Cline and C.W. Kalb. The song follows the success of the video from the album’s title track “We the People” which was released in December 2009 and has received over 3 million views to date. Watch it here!

Just a few weeks ago Stevens logged over 3,000,000 unique YouTube views of his anti-ObamaCare video "We the the People" and in just 10 days this month he has already topped 1,000,000 views of his new anti-illegal immigration offering "Come to the U.S.A."

When asked about his re-newed success via the new medium of the internet Stevens replied, "I'm just singing about stuff that interests me and things I believe in. I'm being true to who I am.....honesty has always worked for me.
