Here is a sneak peek of Ray's performance on Marvin Hamlisch Presents: The ‘70s, The Way We Were on PBS. The event is part of special programming airing in July-August 2010 (check local listings) on PBS stations. In addition to the live stage performances, the program looks back at warm and wonderful memories of the 1970s.

RAY STEVENS, of ..”Oh yes they call him The Streak, fastest thing on two feet” fame is Streaking into the lime light again or so says The New York Times in their on-line Art Section this week. Stevens was also noted in a Billboard Magazine web feature. The multi-Grammy winning artist is garnering a lot of positive attention for a clever song (a Ray Stevens trademark) about a divisive subject….Illegal Immigration….with his new YouTube Hit “Come to the U.S.A.”

With over 2,350,000 unique views in just over 3 weeks, at this point the song looks like it will surpass the attention Stevens gained with his anti-government healthcare song just a few months ago “We the People”. That video currently has over 3,250,000 YouTube views and is the name of his fast selling 22 track CD/4 video DVD Combo pack.
